The movie showed that even though Germans were fighting for a madman, they were pretty normal active soldiers like Americans or Brits, something you never see in any bullshit hollywood movie, they were too humans just like any other soldier who fought in WWII, Just in a different uniform,when would Hollywood ever learn this

I like this film but this scene irritates. The reason the British didn't stop and pick up the men on board is because this would have made them a sitting duck for German u-boats. The convoys could not stop. And a German U-boat captain would be the first to know this.

I speak some German but I cannot make out the report after Tube 3 is fired at 3:36 --is there a misfire or failure to fire? There are no reports after Tubes 1 & 2 are fired, and no time after Tube 4 (crash dive to avoid the destroyer). Three hits are heard later. Anybody pick up on this?
